January 8, 2020

Another day has come and past, and it wasn't too bad.  I finished reading my first book of the year, so YAY!  Only a minimum of 25 to go.

When Nell "kidnapped" me yesterday, I got to have a bit of adult time and see her brand new house.  No we aren't going against Covid restrictions, she lives alone and I am one of her two people she is allowed to visit.  Mental health is important all around after all, and we talk lots.  It's just not the same as the occasional visit we so desperately crave lately.

Mandatory online school finished today, and the government says we go back on Monday.  It will be nice to have M1 back in school, but I will not lie and say that I won't miss it a bit.  It was nice to see his school learning in progress with his classmates.

But, I miss driving my big old school bus, and I will be glad to be behind the wheel again.  Even if it means bright and early mornings before the sun is even up (at least for a few more weeks).  I can readjust to that, and my morning tea, quite easily again.  It will be nice to see all my kids smiling eyes again.

In other news of the world: Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have all banned Trump indefinitely from their platforms.  I'm waiting to see the fallout of that one, but I'm not surprised they have done so.  Only that it took so long to have it done.  2021 is barely over a week old, and it's already ramping up to be a crazy year.  Let's just hope things start to level out sooner rather than later.

I'd like to not feel so wrong going into the bank wearing a mask!!!!!
